As the COVID-19 pandemic began to take hold in Rhode Island, HR professionals across the Ocean State began to realize something—nothing in their professional training and experience had prepared them to respond to a global pandemic. Unfortunately, for HR professionals tasked with reimagining what their workplaces and workforces would look like in our “new normal,” there was not a single easily accessible source of advice, information, and best practices for them to consult. Many of our members were left feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information coming at them on a daily basis, much of it confusing and conflicting.
Recognizing an unmet need among HR professionals for simplicity and clarity during these difficult times, RI SHRM stepped into the information vortex and created the COVID-19 Resource Center. The Resource Center is a centralized repository of articles, checklists, forms, FAQs, public health guidance, and webinars that Rhode Island HR professionals need to respond to the unprecedented challenges facing them during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Resource Center is updated regularly to ensure that Rhode Island HR professionals have the most accurate and up-to-date information available. The Resource Center also includes resources for multi-state employers. |
