Communicating Transparency for Pay Fairness, Trust & Motivation
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
An organization that prioritizes fairness and transparency in compensation and opportunity is a workplace that not only inspires loyalty, excitement, and confidence from its employees but also positions itself for long-term success. Pay transparency is not a one-size-fits-all solution and there is much to be gained by fully assessing specific needs and goals of the organization to determine the most effective approach that enhances the workforce experience and leads to improved organizational outcomes. This session will engage in an exploration of the landscape of trends, implications, and actions surrounding pay transparency to set you on a forward-thinking pathway for you in your organization.

Elissa O’Brien, CCP, GRP, SHRM-SCP
Elissa O’Brien has over 25 years of Human Resources and Association Management experience. As a former Chief HR Officer in several mid-cap organizations and former Chief Membership Officer of a global, association serving over 300K members, Ms. O’Brien brings a unique combination of global expertise in HR and business development experience to the table.
With a reputation for using evidence-based data to make pragmatic, business decisions, Ms. O’Brien has been leading transformational HR practices that create superior organizational performance for most of her career, through synergistic human capital decisions and investments that span the employment life cycle. Her passion is to bring her thought leadership in the field of HR and professional development to her current role with WorldatWork, as the Vice President of Membership, Affiliates and Customer Experience.
Ms. O’Brien holds two Masters’ Degrees, one in Business Administration and the other in
Managerial Technology from Johnson and Wales University and holds a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Business Management from Salve Regina University. She is an adjunct faculty member for Bryant University and has earned the following Certifications: Certified Compensational Professional (CCP) and Global Remuneration Professional (GRP), from WorldatWork, and was the first to hold SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM.
