If you are striving for a HR Leadership role in an organization’s Human Resources Department which serves as an essential partner between the management team and the employees, then this scholarship would be helpful in making those professional goals become a reality.
Since many employers are looking to hire HR certified or degreed professionals, which has created a competitive market for more Human Resources professionals being certified or obtaining a degree or certificate. RI SHRM would like to offer two scholarships for aspiring professionals seeking a HR Certificate, Certification, Undergraduate, or Graduate degree in Human Resources. This scholarship will award one student with $1,500.00. This scholarship will enable you to make your goals a reality!

Eligibility
- Current RI SHRM member
- Enrolled in or plans to enroll in HR Certificate or Professional Development Program at an accredited college, university, or a SHRM partner institution.
- Certificate or Degree program would be in HR or HR related field (e.g., psychology, organizational development, etc.)
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0

*Reference letters should be addressed to the ‘RI SHRM Foundation Scholarship Review Committee’ and should provide insight into applicant’s character, career and/or volunteer accomplishments, work ethic, values and need for the scholarship.
