The Art of Productive Complaining: Effective Coaching Tools for HR Professionals

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Complaining: We all do it, yet most of us aren’t taught how to complain in ways that can lead to our desired outcomes. In fact, most people’s complaint styles damage their professional reputations and cause chronic health issues.

When you’re the one who consistently receives complaints, what are the best practices to:

  • Transform frustrations into action;
  • Protect your health & wellbeing; and
  • Handle your own valid complaints?

We will review the 4 different ways to complain and receive complaints, focusing on the one most effective method to move from a passive complaint recipient into an effective complaint coach so that you can improve your organization’s culture and protect your own health & wellbeing.

Submit your own confidential complaints and questions prior to the program by clicking the link below or scanning the QR Code. As time allows, we will use the Productive Complaint Framework to address your situations.

OUR SPEAKER(S):

Jessica Crowley

Founder, Amalgamation Coaching + Community

Prior to founding Amalgamation Coaching, Jessica was the Director of Human Resources at a community nonprofit. Jessica’s background spans 6 organizations across 3 industries ranging from interior design, higher education administration, and nonprofit management. The one thing each of these experiences have had in common is a culture of complaining. In fact, this pervasive culture is deteriorating the foundational trust within most organizations today.

Jessica helps organizations create a common framework of understanding about how to complain productively, prevent burnout, and build trust through systems and policies that recognize each employee as an amalgamated, whole person whose innate value is integral to the organization’s success.

As a founding board member of the startup nonprofit, The Connected Elephant, Jessica is committed to helping communities address difficult ‘elephant in the room’ issues of disparity through meaningful and constructive action steps and dialogue.

Jessica earned a M.A. in Higher Education Administration from Boston College, and a B.A. in Psychology from Mount Holyoke College. She brings 15 years of experience as a Certified Professional Leadership Coach (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, ICF Accredited).
