PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

In our 2-part series, our presenter, Kara Chamberlain, will discuss using HR data to make workforce decisions and drive initiatives.  Some examples include:

  • analyzing hours worked and the cost of overtime
  • using data to meet diversity and inclusion goals
  • COVID analytics such as contract tracing, # of employees vaccinated, and incentives

You’ll pick up some tips on what data to use, how to track it, and how to navigate a few of the more advanced Excel features, such as pivot tables and V lookups. Join us to enhance your skills as a data-driven HR professional! 

Attendees will need:

  • Excel software
  • Basic knowledge of Excel
  • Dual monitors preferred

This is a hands-on workshop so feel free to have your own data reports at the ready and come with questions!

SPEAKERS DETAILS & BIOS: 

Kara Chamberlain joins us from our neighboring CT SHRM chapter and is an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager working in the non-profit industry.  She has worked at Ability Beyond for the past 8+ years, primarily focused on overseeing full-cycle recruitment and shift coverage strategy for 50+ Connecticut programs.  In her role, Kara has relied heavily on data analytics to help drive decision-making around recruitment strategy and other related organizational initiatives.  She has found that organizing and analyzing data helps to understand critical information better and assists in a company’s ability to set, meet, and exceed its KPIs.
