Susan Post, Field Service Director, SHRM
Susan Post is Divisional Director East for the Society for Human Resource Management, with accountability for the membership and relationship management strategies for SHRM's Northeast and Southeast Regions. She is also Field Services Director for New York State, serving SHRM members, affiliates and volunteers from her home office in upstate NY.
Prior to joining SHRM in 1999, Susan had 15 years of progressively responsible HR experience with such organizations as Eastman Kodak and Cornell University. She holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Le Moyne College, is certified as a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and also holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
Susan's affiliation with the Society dates back to the early 1980's, when she served two terms as President of the Le Moyne College student chapter in Syracuse, NY. Throughout her professional career, Susan has held a variety of SHRM volunteer leadership roles, including two terms as President of her local chapter and District Director on the New York State Council.
Outside of SHRM, Susan has held a variety of volunteer leader positions for a number of organizations, and is currently in her second term as Board President for Chemung ARC, a non- profit human service agency supporting individuals with developmental and other disabilities in Elmira, NY.
Ethan Huckel (he, him, his) is a dynamic educator and public speaker with twenty years of experience in LGBTQ+ education and advocacy, and over ten years of experience in curriculum design, training, and facilitation. His thoughtful, compassionate approach is perfect for organizations at all phases in their journey towards equity and inclusion, and his expertise in curriculum design is ideal for organizations seeking to reimagine their approach to development and learning. Ethan leverages his experience as a transgender man, father, and community leader to foster inclusion of gender diversity from classrooms to boardrooms and beyond.
Ethan serves as board president at TGI Network of Rhode Island, a local non-profit organization that serves the transgender and gender diverse community with peer support services, educational and community-building events, and advocacy. In this role, Ethan has developed a broad understanding of the lived experience of Rhode Island’s gender diverse population. He has testified before the state legislature, spoken out in the fight for transgender justice and equity, and has been an instrumental part of extending Rhode Island’s network of knowledgeable healthcare providers through the collaborative development of the Rhode Island Trans Health Conference.
Ethan was the recipient of Diversity and Inclusion Professionals’ 2019 Leadership in Diversity and Inclusion Award and the 2018 Frank Ferri Spirit Award from Project Fearless. Recent partners include Brown University and Neighborhood Health Plan.
