PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

In this session, attendees will learn about:

  1. Work Immersion Program - an internship support program available to Rhode Island employers. It is designed to boost the employment prospects of new and returning workers (i.e., eligible students and unemployed or underemployed adults). It provides a 50% or 75% reimbursement for wages paid to eligible participants.
  2. Incumbent Worker Training Grants - The Incumbent Worker Training Grant Program is designed to help employers remain competitive and help workers maintain and advance in their careers. It provides a 50% or 75% reimbursement for eligible costs on eligible training activities.
  3. Workplace Accessibility Grants - The Workplace Accessibility Grant Program promotes employment and economic opportunity for individuals with disabilities through investment in accessible workplaces. It provides a 100% reimbursement for eligible costs up to $5,000 per calendar year.
  4. ERC – Employee Retention Credits Program - The Employee Retention Credit (ERC) is a financial benefit from the federal government employers receive in the form of a refundable, advanceable tax credit.
  • The ERC is a tax credit against payroll taxes owed.
  • Claim maximum ERC, receive funds in the minimum amount of time, create IRS-compliant records, and provide audit support if necessary.
  • Allows businesses who obtained the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to ALSO take advantage of the Employee Retention Credit, without double dipping.
