Join us for a webinar featuring Cory King, the commissioner of RI’s Office of Health Insurance Commissioner (OHIC), on September 11th at 9 AM. Cory will be discussing the state health insurance rate review process that is expected to be announced right around the timing of this event. Cory’s discussion will be moderated by Jim Borah from The Hilb Group and will allow participants to submit questions during the event. Please join us for this unique opportunity to experience breaking news on an issue that impacts all RI companies offering health insurance.

Jim Borah

Jim Borah is an Executive Vice President of Employee Benefits with The Hilb Group. Jim works with local companies on their welfare benefit plans with an emphasis on designing and implementing programs specific to each employer that are compliant with state and local regulations. Jim is a long-time active participant in SHRM who has also lent his expertise to many RI stakeholder groups over the years. Jim is a graduate of Connecticut College and earned his Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation through Penn’s Wharton School.



Cory King
Health Insurance Commissioner
Rhode Island Office of the Health Insurance Commissioner
Health Insurance Commissioner Cory King was confirmed by the Rhode Island Senate on April 2, 2024. He previously served as the Acting Health Insurance Commissioner and Chief of Staff. During his time at OHIC, Commissioner King has led the development of Rhode Island's cost growth benchmark program, called the Health Spending Accountability and Transparency Program, implemented the OHIC Data Hub, and led the first comprehensive analysis of publicly funded social and human service provider reimbursement rates. Commissioner King is a graduate of Tulane University and Brown University.
