Small Nudges, Big Impact:
Rewiring Financial Behavior for Good

FREE VIRTUAL EVENT

Tuesday, August 26, 2025 | 12:00 - 1:00 PM | via Zoom

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Modern HR teams face a common challenge: employees are overwhelmed, disengaged, and often make no financial decisions at all. This fast-paced, thought-provoking session reveals how you can harness behavioral science and automation tools to remove roadblocks and guide employees toward lasting financial wellness. Learn how small design changes—like auto-enrollment and default deferral rates—can have a massive impact on participation, productivity, and mental health. Walk away with actionable insights that make it easier for employees to say “yes” to their financial future—by making doing nothing the best decision of all.

Key Takeaways

  1. Identify key psychological barriers that prevent employees from engaging in workplace retirement and wellness programs.

  2. Explain how positive inertia and auto-pilot features (e.g., auto-enrollment, auto-escalation) can improve plan participation and long-term outcomes.

  3. Evaluate strategies for removing complexity and friction in benefits decision-making.

  4. Apply best practices to design a benefits experience that nudges employees toward better financial behaviors without increasing HR burden.

This program has been submitted for HRCI and SHRM credits.
