We have all heard about the move from "traditional HR" to more "strategic HR" but how is this done?
We're pleased to host Jeffrey Mello, Ph.D. as our speaker for this event. During this session Jeff will lead us through a presentation encouraging interaction and reflection, while providing examples of how leading organizations have impacted strategic HR and the benefits of this.

Jeffrey A. Mello is Dean of the School of Business and Professor of Management at Rhode Island College. He previous served as Dean of the School of Business at Siena College and the Andreas School of Business at Barry University. He has held faculty and other administrative positions at The George Washington University, University of California at Berkeley, Towson University and Golden Gate University. He received a B.S., summa cum laude, from Boston University and MBA and Ph.D. degrees from Northeastern University.
He is the author of six books, including Strategic Human Resource Management, 5e. (Cengage) and has published/presented more than one hundred fifty book chapters, journal articles and conference papers. In his corporate career, he held management positions in the publishing, technology, sports, and retail industries and was Senior Vice-President of a privately-held human resource management consultancy. He continues to consult in both the micro and macro domains of HR, notably performance management and strategic human resource management. He has served as an officer of several Boards of Directors and is also a former semi-professional athlete.
