SPEAKER BIOS:
Matthew Weldon
Matthew Weldon is the Acting Director of the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training, appointed to the position on February 22, 2021 by Governor Gina Raimondo. He has been in state service for 20 years, and in that time has worked in each branch of state government. Matt has a BA in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island.

Founder and President of Butler & Associates, a professional Human Resources Consulting firm serving businesses and nonprofit organizations since 1996. Previous to starting her own business Cindy held several senior management positions in Human Resources. Her areas of expertise include: staffing and talent management, change management, employee relations, legal and policy compliance, communications and organizational effectiveness, coaching, training, compensation, and benefits management.
Cindy believes strongly in giving back to the community and currently serves as the Immediate Past State Chapter Director for the RI SHRM, as a member of the Board and the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, and is the immediate past President of the Board of Directors for Save The Bay. Cindy earned her B.A. Business from Bryant University and holds her Senior Human Resources Certification from the Society for Human Resource Management.
